Basic care of jewelry

Posted by Luz Sánchez Aguilar on

Almost all Pendientera pieces are jewelry. As such, costume jewelry requires special care to stay in good condition for a long time or forever. These are some tips that you can put into practice to better preserve your jewelry items, be they Earrings or any other type.

*Avoid contact of jewelry with perfumes, creams, hair sprays, water, cleaning products, alcohol, hydroalcoholic gel, etc. If water splashes on them, dry them immediately carefully and without scrubbing. In the case of illustrated costume jewelry, it is especially important.

*Store the jewelry in a place with as little humidity as possible and in a closed box, preferably each piece in an individual case so that they do not rub against each other. In the case of brooches, close them before storing them so that the needle does not become loose.

*After taking off your jewelry, wipe it with a cloth before putting it away. Sometimes our own pH of the skin and sweat can act as corrosive with some metals. If you clean it when you take it off, you will prevent it from continuing to act.

*If you have a metal allergy, you can varnish the earring hooks with transparent nail polish, which will also protect them.

*Do not bathe, do housework or sleep with jewelry on.

*Clean your jewelry with a soft, dry cloth without rubbing too much. Do not use products to clean jewelry.

I hope these tips are useful to you :)
