Brief biography of Marie Curie (Warsaw, Zarato of Poland, 1867 – Passy, France, 1934).
Chemistry and physics. A pioneer in the field of radioactivity, she was the first person to obtain two Nobel Prizes: for physics in 1903, together with her husband Pierre Curie, and for chemistry in 1911. She was the first woman to obtain a doctorate in France and the first woman professor of the University of Paris. During her life, she was highly respected and esteemed by the scientific community. He was a member of important committees and councils related to the study of physics. His daughter, Irène-Joliot Curie, together with her husband Frédéric Joliotdad, won the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1935.
