They are made with cellulose acetate. This material is a plastic of plant origin, so it is biodegradable. It is composed of cellulose granules that are prepared from renewable natural sources, such as cotton flower and wood pulp. Vegetable and mineral pigments are used to give it color. It is a light, flexible, hydrophobic and durable material that has great chemical resistance to oils and greases, light and aging. Another advantage it offers is that due to its plant origin, the material does not cause allergies or skin reactions.
